Music Anywhere

Imagine listening to your computer’s music collection from anywhere in the house. Get yourself a music streamer and imagine no more.

If you’ve got a massive music collection on your computer then chances are music plays a big part in your life. Now you never need to miss a beat of your favourite track again when leaving the room, thanks to the invention of music streamers.

These devices can stream wirelessly (or wired using an Ethernet cable), music from any PC on your home network and play it through the speakers connected to the streamer. You can have several units playing the same music, so whichever room you’re in you can listen to the music you want. Alternatively, you can set them up to play different tracks, giving other people a chance to select their choice of sounds.

An example of a music streamer is Logitech’s Squeezebox. It can play a large variety of music files including MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, which should cover your entire music collection.

So if you’re planning a garden party and moving your hi-fi is not an option then a music streamer is the best solution, and you get to show it off to all your friends.

How The TechGuys can help

Our Digital Streaming Installation service will set up a digital media streamer in any room that you want. It is operated by remote control so there is no need to go back to your computer to change the songs, volume or anything.

Did you know?

Some music streamers have built in alarm clocks so you can wake up each morning to the sounds of digital birds chirping or something a bit heavier!
