If you need to expand your existing network, whether that entails adding another computer or just installing a printer, you may need the TechGuys On-site PC or Peripheral Installation service. There is no need to worry about those complicated IT tasks, your TechGuy will get the job done promptly and professionally, leaving you to get on with the more important tasks.
- The service is carried out in your business premises
- We will unpack and check all components purchased
- Start up of your PC and boot into the operating system
- Your TechGuy will connect a printer and scanner to a PC
- Install any drivers and software required
- Set-up of an approved Internet account and configuration of an email client
- Standalone installation of a new client on to an existing client server or ‘Peer to Peer’ network
- Start the process of backing up the recovery media
- Test PC or peripheral functions
- We will give you a full demonstration and answer any questions you may have
- Unpacking, checking and installation of your new PC and/or other peripherals purchased
- Test of PC or peripheral functions
- A brief explanation of your PCs functions and components
- Installation or configuration of software other than the operating system supplied, purchased at the same time
- The client must provide their own ISP and telephony infrastructure, and ensure all PCs set up under this service have a network card
Please note, these are not included in the service:
- Apple computer equipment and operating systems
- Network cables or other cabling requirements
- Connection of existing peripherals or other equipment other than a sole printer or print server purchased at the same time
- Installation of servers
- Installation of PCs in multiple sites
- Transfer of software from the network or legacy PCs
- Training on the new PC, supplied software and network functionality
- Removal of packaging
- If upgrades have been purchased, refer to Upgrade on-site installation service pack
- Hardware failures, application software support, ISP connectivity problems
